We’re now 2 Months young, and have just upped the status of the Ontario site to “Release Candidate 1″ (RC1). While there are a few tickets remaining, they are relatively minor.
So, without further ado… We have launched Release Candidates for all Regional Sites (one for each Province and Territory)!
We have been hard at work adding a third level of ad categories. We have added over 700 sub-categories to date, bringing the grand total of available categories to over 800!
Thanks for all the feedback on Facebook and Twitter, we love hearing from you.
And of course, the beta testing of FREEsell Ontario continues…
Update (November 27,2011):
One of our goals is to ensure that the user experience is both easy and enjoyable. After careful consideration, we have concluded that too many categories makes the site too difficult to use. So, we have settled on 127 broad categories that are easy enough to find, while specific enough to provide a sense of order. We hope that you agree.
Users with ads already running at the time of the updates can rest easy… We have re-categorized your ads without affecting the ad’s URL (ie. http://on.freesell.ca/ads/name-of-ad/).
As a special thank you for being part of our beta tests, we have upgraded all existing ads to “Featured” for free (a $2.99 value per ad)!
And yes, the beta testing of FREEsell Ontario continues…
